Some Changes

I'm going to change this a little bit. I have to admit I took my eye off the ball at the back end of the and as a result some things have slid a bit. I've realised I need to knuckle down more this year with hopefully more action to deliver success in my business ideas. To help me I'm looking to post a lot more often because I'm sure I'm not the only one who has these ups and downs. Hopefully we can all benefit from that.

Hocus Pocus (or is it?)

One of the forums I visit has been talking about a movie you can see on the internet called The Secret. I haven't seen it but I get the idea it's about a thing called the Law of Attraction. The basic principle is you clearly focus what you desire and through this you begin to attract what your mind focusses on.

Anyway I read the threads. Some calling it Hocus Pocus, some talking about how quantum physics is somehow starting to prove it works. Who knows.

I thought that I'd give it a bit of a go just to see and maybe a bit of a giggle. What did it matter, no-one knew what I was on with so no-one could laugh at me. I tried to start small as the advice suggested. I imagined finding some money that someone could afford to lose. Only a very small amount. So I did all the business and let it go.

A few days later I took my wife to buy some jewellery for Christmas. As it was a ring I needed her for the sizing. We picked a ring, got to the cashier to pay for it, only to be told that it turned out to be in the half price sale, yet the insurance I put on it was for full value.

Was it the Law of Attraction in action or not. I don't know. It wasn't exactly what I asked for but I was a bit vague in parts which apparently does have an effect. But I did end up with some money that I had planned on losing and more than the amount I was asking for.

Which Leads Me Onto....

The next thing. With the money I saved, I decided I'd like a book. So we went to the bookstore and went to the business section. I came across the book Why We Want You To Be Rich by Donald Trump & Robert Kiyosaki.

I'm a big fan of both men and their work and I'd seen this on the Rich Dad website. Obviously it was a day where everything was clicking into place so I jumped at the chance and bought it.

It's an excellent book and one which I read so intensely I got through it in 24 hours. Why did I like it? Well one reason was that for some time now I've been having thoughts about the potential mess the economy can find itself in and how most people (myself included) could get caught out and get burned. It was great to hear these two businessmen draw exactly the same conclusions.

The book and some of my other thoughts that came together over the Christmas period have spurred me into action. I've started treating my business opportunities and personal goals to more attention. We all should start looking a bit harder at our business opportunities and play to win. I've got a lot more planning done.

Hopefully you'll see some differences which you can benefit from. I've even changed my blog around a bit. Hope you like it.

In my next post I'm looking to explain why we need to get with the program on exploiting our business opportunities and creating a golden future for ourselves because the only other option will be financial meltdown.
